Pampers Recall

Some parents say their children got diaper rashes and chemical burns after wearing the Pampers diapers. The United States Consumer Products Safety Commission is looking in to claims and some concerned parents are wondering if there might be a Pampers recall in the future.

Right now, there is no diaper recall, because Proctor and Gamble has not yet issued one. Parents who are concerned about the safety of the product are urged to call the US Consumer Product Safety Commission hotline: 800-638-2772.

The diapers which have been at the bottom of the problem are those that use the “Dry Max” technology and consist of the Cruisers and Swaddlers products manufactured by Pampers. These Dried out Max diapers are supposted to create a diaper that keeps child dryer with less bluk towards the actual diaper.

As of Thursday evening, a Facebook group “Pampers Bring Back the Old Cruisers/Swaddlers” had over 4,600 members. Pampers is the company’s largest brand with annnual sales of about $8 billion .

In the meantime, we still have to wait for P&G to review the case and if they will order a recall in the future.
