Taylor, 51, has contended that he has been sober since 1998 and his behavior has basically reflected that statement. In a 60 Minutes interview in 2003, Taylor had proclaimed he had tuned over a new leaf.
“LT died a long time ago, and I don’t miss him at all…all that’s left is Lawrence Taylor.”
The investigation is still ongoing at this time, and this website’s policy has always been not to prejudge anyone until the facts are uncovered.
A news conference is scheduled for 3pm Thursday to unveil more details and any charges being levied against Taylor.
