The Indianapolis One America 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is only 46 days away. The Mini-Marathon is the largest half marathon in the U.S. Training for a marathon requires goals, motivation and hard work. What mother doesn't want to teach those qualities to her chidlren?
If you are looking for a way to get your kids to exercise and have some fun, registration is open for the Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. This race is held on May 23, two weeks after the completion of the Mini Marathon.
The 2010 Indianapolis Mini Marathon is already sold out for adults but you can help your kids prepare for a run of their own. This is a great way to share a goal and train together. Moms, you can make this an annual tradition!
After you register, sit down with your kids and collaborate on a training and eating plan for the next two months. Involve your kids in the process and they will surprise you with their enthusiasm.
