The Dirty Birds

The Dirty Birds: We finally have NFL football on Thursday nights. I can't tell you how happy I am about that, one game to help me make it through the remainder of the week.

Not only is Thursday night football finally back, but it will be one great game for everyone to enjoy. Both the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens are 6-2 and play top tier football. In my opinion the Ravens are the best team in the AFC right now and the Falcons have the skill players to do some damage in the playoffs.

In this game, look for the Falcons to get Michael Turner going as soon as possible. For him to have a good game they need to get him the ball often and hope that he can get the ground game going, which will open up the passing attack.

The duo of Matt Ryan and Roddy White is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous in the game. Ryan has the capabilities of being one of the better quarterbacks in the game he just has to be able to deliver on a more consistent basis. White on the other hand, is and will continue to be a premiere wide out for years to come.

The Ravens are a very good team that has the ability to make a push for the Super Bowl come playoff time. There defense is a bit on the older side, but they now have a fantastic running back in Ray Rice and a more mature quarterback as Joe Flacco continues to grow as a player. The addition of Boldin has continued to help the passing game each and every game.

Thursday night football is back and I can't wait to relax and watch this game play out. I look for the Ravens to come into the dome and sneak away with the victory. It should be a very close and exciting match up. 27-21 Ravens.
