American Idol May 19th, as this was a pre-taped performance that they aired. Still, it was something to draw audiences into the results show, and it was something that was sure to increase the ratings for the night. From that standpoint, it's hard to blame them for getting one of the hottest artists in the industry to come to their stage. Fans of Justin Bieber will probably really have enjoyed this performance, and it may have pushed Bieber's name out there to an even wider audience than he has been reaching. It's quite clear that Bieber is here to stay, and that was made even more evident by his performance on American Idol Wednesday night.
