Gipsy Kings

The Gipsy Kings, not to be confused with "Gypsy Kings" were performers on the May 11, 2010 episode of Dancing with the Stars.  The latest show was a sad goodbye for celebrity contestant Niecy Nash, but also a welcome for the Gipsy Kings band.  The musicians performed the song "You've Got a Friend in Me" while some of the DWTS pro dancers did a dance number inspired by a scene in the upcoming "Toy Story 3" movie.

The Gipsy Kings will be on tour around the United States in July of 2010.  The show is titled "An Evening with the Gipsy Kings."  Cities they'll perform in include Morrison, CO; Napa, CA; and Las Vegas, NV as well as Los Angeles for at least two shows.  There may be more dates added in the future.  Check out the latest Gipsy Kings tickets here.

An album featuring songs from Toy Story 3 drops on June 15th.  Meanwhile, Toy Story 3 will open in theaters in June 18, 2010.  A video here at the Dancing with the Stars website shows behind-the-scenes as dancers Tony and Cherly choreograph the Paso Doble for Toy Story 3.  In the animated film, Buzz and Jessie will do a Spanish dance inspired by the DWTS pros.  Tony Dovolani, who is Erin Andrews dance partner on this season, and Cherly Burke, who is Chad Ochocinco's partner, went to the PIXAR studios to show off their dance moves for those working on the new movie.  The PIXAR people were very impressed and went to work to translate it into a fun dance scene for "Spanish Buzz" in the new Disney movie.  Watch it here at ABC.com!

The video below shows Gipsy Kings doing their music video for "Djobi Djoba".  Enjoy!
