The song was picked for Lee by Simon Fuller so he had nothing to do with the selection. But he didn’t seem to rise up to the potential of the song the way Crystal did. The judges were well beyond criticism at this point but not one of them was overflowing with praise.
It all comes down to the voting by the American public over the phone and through texting. But unless there is a groundswell out there who are unalterably pro Lee, it may be a lost cause. She was that good.
