In Badmaash Company movie, Sahid Kapoor is playing the role of Karan in love with Bulbul played by Anushka Sharma, yes the same girl next door in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. But this time she is no simple desi girl but a hot chick aspiring to make it big one day on the ramp. Badmaash Company is her second release incidentally under Yash Raj Banner again.

Chang, yes the singer from Indian Idol fame playing the character of Zing in the story. The film also stars Vir Das playing Chandu. Now to tell you about the story, Badmaash Company relives the times of 1990 in Mumbai when India did not have most of the luxuries of the West and imported goods were hot in demand. The story revolves around all the four characters who want to make huge money by doing all wrong in a right way. They begin to chase their dreams by starting an import business.
Badmaash Company review is quite good. The four characters make it successfully to reach to the top and earn a fortune just by discovering that to make money you got to have an idea rather than big money. The story line looks very different and unique and written well by debutant director Parmeet Sethi who also has written the dialogues for the film. As the story progresses we discover that the foursome decide to shut down their flourishing business until they come up with a fresh plan.
Badmaash Company has some great foot tapping music numbers by music director Pritam and lyrics are penned nicely by Anvita Dutt. With Shahid Kapoor expecting a great dance performance is just normal and for that Ahmed Khan has been roped in to lend choreography for the movie. The songs are sung by some of the most amazing singers of today’s times including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sunidhi Chauhan, KK, Mohit Chauhan and Benny Dayal. The music is available on YRF Music.
Speaking at an interview Shahid Kapoor said, “I started reading the script….. and by the end of ten pages, I was hooked. I found it extremely fresh, young and entertaining.”
