Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds -- one of Hollywood's hottest couples, bar none -- have snapped up a decidedly unremarkable farmhouse in rural Louisana, complete with a rusty barn (above).

Johansson's InStyle interview in May hinted at a penchant for simple domesticity -- "I love to cook and bake," she told the mag.

"I like cooking alone -- I find it very therapeutic," Scarlett said. "I put on some music, maybe have a glass of wine, and make something like a turkey Bolognese or a nice frittata."

Scarlett Johansson's New Louisiana HomeJohansson and Reynolds, who wed in 2008, have an LA home with four bedrooms and five bathrooms -- "considered to be conservative for the Hollywood scene," London's Daily Mail writes. In California, the couple "restored the colonial-style building to its former glory as well as updating it with a variety of eco-friendly touches such as solar heating."

Their new Louisiana home is a modest two-story affair with a green and tan theme and a separate garage.
Of married life, Johansson told InStyle: "You're married and suddenly you have your own family. There's a nice comfort in that. That part of your life is certain, in a way. You've got your home in that other person."
