Al and Tipper Gore separate after 40 years of marriage! Based from an e-mail that was sent among the couple’s friends and was obtained by The Associated Press news outlet, the Gores said it was “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.” Al Gore and Tipper Gore have told friends that friends they “grew apart” after four decades of marriage and there was no affair involved, as relayed by two longtime close associates and family friends. “Gore divorce” is the next news that public will go to follow.

Al Gore and Tipper Gore have carved out separate lives over time, with the 62-year-old former vice president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate on the road frequently who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the couple’s behalf.

“Their lives had gotten more and more separated,” one of the friends stated.

Al Gore and Tipper Gore, who own homes in Nashville and Gore’s hometown of Carthage, Tenn., had reportedly purchased an $8.8 million estate in Montecito, Calif., this spring.

Al Gore and Tipper Gore married on May 19, 1970 at the National Cathedral in Washington. Al Gore and Tipper Gore crafted an image of a happy couple during Al Gore’s eight-year stint as vice president in the 1990s and a presidential candidate in 2000.
