Police charged 22-year-old men's lacrosse player George Huguely, an anthropology major from Chevy Chase, Md., with first-degree murder, but have said little else about the alleged crime.
There was visible signs of physical trauma to Love's body, police said in a statement, though no official cause of death has been released.
Both players were fourth-year students who, according to witness statements given to police, had been in a relationship in the past.
