The Susquehanna Bank Center is a well-known outdoor amphitheater and indoor theater complex in Camden, New Jersey, a city of roughly 80,000 in Camden County. It is located on the Delaware River waterfront across from Philadelphia.
The Susquehanna Bank Center opened in June 1995 as the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Centre (or E-Centre). From 2001, the amphitheater was known as the Tweeter Center – not to be confused with Tweeting – at the Waterfront until Susquehanna Bank purchased the naming rights in 2008.
During the summer months, the facility servers as a 25,000 capacity outdoor amphitheater which features a lawn with video screens, computerized sound enhancement, and a clear view of the Philadelphia skyline and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to the northwest. In the fall and winter months, the Susquehanna Bank Center converts to a fully-enclosed, climate-controlled, flexible-capacity theater for up to 7,000 people offering a variety of concerts, Broadway theatrical productions, and family entertainment.
Among its near-future concerts are Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Tim McGraw, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Maroon 5, John Mayor, Brooks & Dunn, and many others.
