Survivor Season 20 Cast

For lack of a more professional phrase to sum up this episode...

OMG, what the hell happened?

It was day 31. Let's start with the beginning, when the situation was nail biting but not yet complete chaos. If you read my article from last week (link above), then you are well aware of what I thought of Candice flipping to the Villains. It was a stupid move; enough to make the Villains beware and enough to make her own Heroes turn against her.

Bad for her but perfect for Rupert. Rupert earned points with me when he pushed a rock in his pocket in order to fake everyone into thinking he had the idol. Brilliant move. And hugely funny. The self-proclaimed "Idol Expert" thought he could judge the bulge in Rupert's pocket. (Insert your own distasteful joke here.) The rock literally saved his torch in this game.

And as for Candice, the Villains used her and then threw her away. A fitting end to such a dirty move.

"It's a risky move to betray trust in order to gain trust." - Jeff Probst

Let's back up a little bit. At the beginning of this episode, I was feeling quite upset because I was certain that the only two people left in the game that I had any desire to win would be picked off. That feeling lingered on while Rupert pitched his fit with Russell. I slowly regained my footing as the show went on, though. For once, a vote went exactly like I wanted it to. But wait. There's another tribal council in this episode. Let me see if I have any more finger nails to bite off.
