Nate Robinson

It was kind of bittersweet to see him go as a Knicks fan considering we won nothing with him, but this is the kind of thing Nate Robinson can do from time to time; explode.

Unfortunately for the Celtics, Rajon Rondo fell down hard on his back, but they had a midseason acquisition to take his place. Robinson is nowhere near the true point guard that Rondo is, but Kryptonate did what he does best--take and make quick shots. If he had missed a few of those shots he took in Game 6, Rivers would have forced Rondo to tough it out and get back in the game. Instead, Nate the great did a little dancing on the perimeter, created just enough space, and gave the Celtics enough firepower to beat the Orlando Magic comfortably.

Nate Robinson did exactly what he used to do for the Knicks tonight for the Boston Celtics. This doesn't mean he's learned how to become a winning point guard, or that he will ever learn to become one. Doc Rivers caught lightening in a bottle, and looked like a genius tonight. It was undoubtedly a lot of fun to watch, and I hope he can keep it up during the NBA Finals. An NbA championship ring that sits next to three Slam Duck titles will be a very legitmate shelf of professional accomplishments.
