Evelyn Lozada Engaged

Evelyn Lozada Engaged: Evelyn Lozada and Chad Ochocinco are now engaged after four months of dating.  Chad Ochocinco, 32, is a Cincinnati Bengals receiver drafted in 2001.  Evelyn Lozada is a star of the Vh1 reality show, “Basketball Wives,” although now she’ll be a “football wife.”

According to nydailynews.com, Ochocinco bought an enormous diamond ring for Evelyn Lozada.  Lozada tweeted, “I’m no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin.”

Chad Ochocinco had a reality show this past August before dating Evelyn Lozada called, “Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch,” where he was looking for love and picking from 85 women.  Evelyn Lozada was not even in the running at the time.  Ochocinco had started dating Lozada while the show was going on and tweeted about her more often than the women on his show.

Orlandosentinel.com reports, “There has been no official announcement of an engagement. Perhaps, the two are saving the announcement for a VH1 special. The second season of Basketball Wives is currently in the works and the relationship between Evelyn Lozada and Ochocinco seems to be one of the dominant story lines.”

Our take:

It seems as though fame and money have a lot to do with this engagement.  It seems a bit bizarre to me that a couple would decide to get married after only four months of dating.  That’s not a lot of time to really get to know someone.  I’m no expert on marriage, and I obviously don’t know this couple firsthand, but I don’t see this one lasting very long.  It seems more like a publicity stunt for the second season of “Basketball Wives,” than an actual loving commitment.  However, stranger things have happened in the Hollywood/sports world so why not celebrate good news?  Congrats to the happy couple!

John of God

John of God: Brazilian spirit doctor John of God is the main topic of a documentary filmmaker Fergus Tigue and the documentary was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday.

The documentary represents the first time cameras were allowed in John of God’s workshops.

The John of God documentary was shot between 2003 and 2005 and showed the healer performing his rituals. The Oprah episode was focused on spiritual healers and showed pieces of the documentary.

The documentary shows John of God using his healing powers on men and women without using any anesthetics or disinfectants.

The Oprah special on the healing arts around the world was broadcast in the U.S. on November 17.

Basketball Wives: Is Ochocinco engaged to one of the 'Basketball Wives?'

Looks like Chad Ochocinco may not be appearing in a second season of his VH1 dating reality show.

TMZ has reported that The Cincinnati Bengals football player and star of “Ochocinco: The Ulitmate Catch” has gotten engaged to his girlfriend of four months, “Basketball Wives" cast member Evelyn Lozada.

While neither has confirmed the impending nuptials, Lozada did tweet a picture of a massive diamond ring on what appears to be her hand with the message, “I'm no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin." In response to tweeted inquiry about her being pregnant and engaged, Lozada tweeted, “No not prego that was a jokey joke...lol.”

Perhaps Lozada can switch shows, as VHI also has a new series titled “Football Wives.” The reality TV star was formerly engaged to former NBA player Antoine Walker.

The new season of “Basketball Wives” starts on December 12 and will feature Lozada and Ochocinco’s relationship which, as she says in the show’s trailer, started when they met on Twitter.

Tyler Christopher

Tyler Christopher : Any news is considered good news when you are in the entertainment industry.

Tyler Christopher is getting a lot of blogger attention now that Eva Longoria has filed for divorce with her second husband basketball player Tony Parker.

Tyler was married to Eva from 2002 until 2004.  During the two years they had no children.

Tyler is married to his current wife, Brienne Pedigo.  They had Tyler’s first child Greysun James in October of last year.

Code Pink Seattle reports: Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from husband Tony Parker just hours after denying reports they were planning to split.  The Desperate Housewives actress filed the documents at Los Angeles Superior Court this afternoon.

ToniFitz76 of famecrawler reports: Eva was married oh-so-briefly to soap actor Tyler Christopher earlier this decade. The two were together for two years, from 2002 to 2004, and Eva hooked up with Tony shortly thereafter.

Times of the Internet wonders: However, it is to be seen if Eva goes back to Tyler Christopher for a patch up or goes for third marriage instead. No comments have been confirmed from Tyler as yet.

Tyler Christopher is happily married to Brienne, so it is doubtful that he will even entertain the thought of getting back together with Eva.

Tyler stars of the TV soap General Hospital.  He plays Nikolas Cassadine.

Eva Longoria Divorce

Eva Longoria  Divorce: Eva Longoria has filed for divorce, and even though she's filed the legal docs, sources tell us she's "devastated."  And get this ... she wants spousal support!

Longoria filed her papers, to divorce Tony Parker, in L.A. County Superior Court.  Longoria cites "irreconcilable differences."

Longoria checked the box which says "Spousal support payable to [Longoria].   If Eva gets her way, she pays her lawyers and Tony pays for his."

TMZ has learned, Longoria and Parker signed a prenup on June 21, 2007 and it was amended in June, 2009.  The legal docs also mention the prenup.

The papers were filed this morning, according to People.com.

UPDATE: "Extra" host Mario Lopez claims Eva has confirmed to him that she found hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker's phone.

Lopez says Eva also confirmed that the mystery woman is MARRIED to one of Parker's teammates.

UPDATE #2: Eva just tweeted, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness."

Erin Barry

Erin Barry: Earlier, we reported the rumor that Tony Parker not only cheated on Eva Longoria, he cheated with a teammate's wife. We can now confirm it's true, and who it is:

Erin Barry, the wife of Brent Barry.

The father of the former San Antonio Spurs player, Rick Barry, confirmed the news to TMZ today and says he worries Brent will be "devastated" by the news.

Brent played with Parker from 2004-2008, and is in the middle of a divorce from Erin Barry. Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are in the middle of one, too, as of earlier this afternoon, when the Desperate Housewives star filed the paperwork.

Rick Barry says "I feel horrible for my son. I'm in shock. I knew [Erin] was moving out of the house soon and SHE was the one that filed for divorce."

"This is the straw that broke the camel's back. [Brent] is going to be devastated. I can't even imagine going through this ... the divorce was hard enough."

We're guessing Eva Longoria knows the feeling.

Brent Barry Wife: This one is getting down right UGLY! Radar Online is reporting that Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria with former teammate Brent Barry’s wife - Erin Barry. Imagine how awkward it’s going to be on game day when Tony has to play nice with some of Brent’s old buddies!?

    “Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that ‘former teammate’ in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry,” Graham wrote.

In case you haven’t heard Brent and Erin Barry are also divorcing. Could be coincidence… I suppose.

Earlier today, Eva Longoria released a statement about her celebrity divorce. Wonder if she will have a comment on this rumor? And when will Tony Parker say something!!?

Ronni Chasen

Ronni Chasen: Nobody has been able to advance the story much on this morning's killing of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen, shot to death in her car near Sunset Boulevard and Whittier Drive in Beverly Hills. She was driving home to Westwood from a party at the W Hotel in Hollywood, after attending the "Burlesque" premiere. “It is an extremely unusual crime for us,” said Sgt. Lincoln Hoshino of the Beverly Hills Police Department. “We are in the infancy stages of the investigation.” Neighbors heard the shots and ran to help Chasen, who was shot five times but alive. She was declared dead an hour later at Cedars-Sinai. Six minutes before the shooting, she left a routine "to do" message on the office phone. Police spent the day gathering up computers and other possible evidence from her apartment and the offices of Chasen and Company, talking to witnesses and checking for possible video surveillance footage in the area.
