A family favorite, The Sound of Music, is coming to Blu-Ray disc this November.
Julie Andrews stars in the film, playing a nun, Maria, who leaves her convent and becomes a governess for The von Trapp family. Although Maria's journey begins rough, she ends up falling in love with the children - and their father. It's a musical masterpiece that has been and will be in families for years.

There will also be a special collector's edition, which will include "a keepsake box and featuring a 100-page "My Favorite Things" scrapbook, a 45th Anniversary Soundtrack, a reproduction of the original 1965 souvenir program, an exclusive hand-painted "My Favorite Things" music box and more" (Broadway World).
The collector's set is priced at $89.99 U.S. while the Blu-ray/DVD combo packs are attractively priced at $34.99 U.S.
Making The Sound of Music available on Blu-Ray is great because it's a timeless movie that people of all ages enjoy. It will surely make a great gift, just in time for the holidays!
