Taste Of Colorado, Festival in Denver this weekend will be a special exhibition sponsored alternative fuel by the U.S. Department of Energy Fuel Cell Technology Program.
The program provides an alternative fuel engine hydrogen powered internal combustion bus built by Ford. The hydrogen shuttle buses hold 12 passengers and will be on display at the stand of the Department of Energy, Building on Broadway in front of the Denver Post.
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory says Energy Department recently funded leases a dozen of these hydrogen-powered buses, to be placed in facilities across the country.
Taste of Colorado festival is a celebration of late summer for the Denver region. More than half a million people are expected to attend the four-day free festival with over 50 properties in the area of food, 270 artisans and market vendors, six stages of entertainment and educational programs that promote diversity of cultural heritage and western region.
