'House' Season 7, Episode 2

'House' Season 7, Episode 2:Fox’s popular medical drama series “House” is now into its seventh season, and last night saw the airing of episode 2 – titled “Selfish.” The patient of the week was a 14-year old skateboarder named Della, who had collapsed during an exhibition.

According to Melinda Beck over at wsj.com, House and his team then had to figure out why the young girl’s heart just stopped suddenly. Meanwhile, House and Cuddy – who are trying to make their relationship work – appeared to have problems working on the case together.

House wanted to do a “scare test” on Della to start with, but Cuddy disagreed and said it would be too dangerous. The two of them seemed to (sort of) clash again, when Della began coughing up blood and House suggested putting foam in her lungs to stop the bleeding.

In the meantime, Della’s case seemed to baffle the medical staff. Della’s wheelchair-bound brother Hugo – who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy – told House that his sister had never even had a cold before. They then figured it all out, but it left Della needing a lung transplant.

However, the only possible match was her brother and that would shorten his already short life expectancy. After telling Hugo and Della’s parents the news they decided not to take Hugo’s lung, but Hugo selflessly insisted on donating his lung to save his sister.
