'House' Season 7, Episode 2

'House' Season 7, Episode 2:Fox’s popular medical drama series “House” is now into its seventh season, and last night saw the airing of episode 2 – titled “Selfish.” The patient of the week was a 14-year old skateboarder named Della, who had collapsed during an exhibition.

According to Melinda Beck over at wsj.com, House and his team then had to figure out why the young girl’s heart just stopped suddenly. Meanwhile, House and Cuddy – who are trying to make their relationship work – appeared to have problems working on the case together.

House wanted to do a “scare test” on Della to start with, but Cuddy disagreed and said it would be too dangerous. The two of them seemed to (sort of) clash again, when Della began coughing up blood and House suggested putting foam in her lungs to stop the bleeding.

In the meantime, Della’s case seemed to baffle the medical staff. Della’s wheelchair-bound brother Hugo – who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy – told House that his sister had never even had a cold before. They then figured it all out, but it left Della needing a lung transplant.

However, the only possible match was her brother and that would shorten his already short life expectancy. After telling Hugo and Della’s parents the news they decided not to take Hugo’s lung, but Hugo selflessly insisted on donating his lung to save his sister.

US new home sales in August among worst on record

The number of new homes sold in the US in August remained at a near-record low as unemployment continued to bite.

The Department of Commerce said that last month's seasonally-adjusted annual sales pace was 288,000, virtually unchanged from July.

July's sales would have been the worst on record, but the figures were adjusted upwards.

The only time sales were slower was in May, when the sales pace was 282,000, the worst since 1963.

The August figure marked a 29% fall from the same month a year earlier.

High unemployment, tight credit, and uncertainty about house prices mean consumers remain cautious.

The government introduced tax credits earlier in the year, which added a temporary boost to the market. But the credits expired in April.

The constructions of new homes is up 25% from where the market reached its nadir in April 2009.

However, the number of new-builds is still 74% below the peak in January 2006.

On Thursday, the National Association of Realtors said that sales of previously-owned homes in the US rose in August by 7.6% to 4.13m.

But that was from a low base - July's revised annualised rate of 3.84 million was the lowest since 1997.

Team Scotland boss Jon Doig critical over Delhi Games

The Scottish and Welsh Commonwealth Games teams have moved into their Delhi accommodation as complaints continue over unfinished facilities.

Jon Doig, head of Team Scotland, was critical of the organisers and said it was "just not good enough for people who have had seven years to prepare".

He believed athletes had been let down and facilities still needed fixing.
English athletes will move in on Monday, but organisers said work would not be fully finished until Wednesday.

About 80 members of the Scottish team and 50 of the Welsh contingent are now at the competitors' residence after having flown out on Saturday.

The Indian government warned on Sunday that the village would not be finished until Wednesday, which is four days before the opening ceremony on 3 October.

India's chief minister of Delhi, Sheila Dixit, visited the site on Sunday to check progress and after talking to officials she said she expected work to take another 72 hours before all the problems are resolved.

Mr Doig, who is chef de mission of the Scotland Team, said: "We have been working really hard on our accommodation and the big challenge is to ensure that the rest of the accommodation is the same level for the other 71 Commonwealth Games associations.

"We just happened to arrive early, identify the problems and started working very hard to try to address them.

"Now we've got people in it's really starting to test the system and there are a few things that need to be fixed on an ongoing basis."

He said there has been "quite a lot of change" since Team Scotland managers arrived in the middle of September, but still a lot to do.
'Not good enough'

Mr Doig explained: "We've had a number of our colleagues move in over the last couple of days and have found that their apartments are a long way from being ready for our athletes.

"A lot of them have arrived in Delhi and have had to be held in hotels until they can be brought up to standard.

"It's just not good enough for people who have had seven years to prepare for the Games."

Scotland's athletes flew out as it emerged that tennis player Elena Baltacha would not be going.

The 27-year-old issued a statement explaining that due to a chronic liver condition - primary sclerosing cholangitis - the health risks of going to the Games were "too high".

Among those who travelled on Saturday were members of Scotland's archery, lawn bowls, shooting, tennis and weightlifting teams.

Team Scotland's rugby players, boxers and wrestlers are due to head out on Tuesday.

At least eight nations previously expressed reservations over the preparations for the Games, describing the accommodation as "unfit for human habitation".

Individual athletes, including reigning Commonwealth triple jump champion Phillips Idowu, decided not to attend over safety fears.

These were heightened when a footbridge to the main stadium collapsed and the roof of the weightlifting venue fell in.

Fashion designer Catherine Walker dies

The fashion designer Catherine Walker, whose clothes were favoured by Diana, Princess of Wales, has died at the age of 65, her family has said.

She passed away at a hospital near her Sussex home on Thursday, following a battle with cancer.

She provided Diana with many of her iconic outfits, and the princess was buried in a black Walker dress.

Walker first worked with Diana three months after her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981.

In a statement, her family said: "Catherine Walker overcame young widowhood and fought cancer twice with enduring bravery.


"She built one of the most successful British couture brands and at the same time raised a loving family. Catherine Walker has dressed many of the world's most beautiful women."

Walker, who had suffered from breast cancer, was born in France but made a name for herself in Britain as a leading couture designer.

She studied philosophy at the Universities of Lille and Aix-en Province, then moved to London after meeting solicitor John Walker.

He died in an accident in 1975, leaving Walker to raise their two daughters.

She started studying fashion at night school the following year, selling clothes from a basket on Kings Road in Chelsea during the day, before setting up her own business.

Walker was named Designer of the Year for Couture at the British Fashion Awards in 1990 and Designer of the Year for Glamour the following year.

Briton 'missing' in Afghanistan

The disappearance of a British national in Afghanistan is being investigated by the Foreign Office, a spokeswoman said.

It is not clear which area of the country the Briton was in when they went missing.

The spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that a British national is missing in Afghanistan.

"We are working with other international agencies to urgently investigate these reports."

Held on Saturday in Indianapolis (USA), UFC 119 had good fights and a final unexpected decision.
The event also marked the rise of Ryan Bader, who defeated Rogerio Nogueira in their climb to the top 5 in the light heavyweight devision.
In the main event of the night, Frank Mir and Mirko Cro Cop had a tough bout. Cro Cop was able to avoid an exchange of blows for most of the fight, but unable to break down. In the third round, however, Mir hit a knee full on his chin and Cro Cop, who fell and knocked out most was the target of a series of punches, forcing the referee to stop the dispute.
Rogerio Nogueira made a very tough fight against the champion of “TUF 8″ Ryan Bader. While defending himself from falling and hitting some good shots standing, the Brazilian finished in disadvantage for the few times he was knocked down, points needed to open the American advantage in a fight so balanced. After the three rounds, Bader won the unanimous decision.
Another Brazilian Thiago Tavares was in action. The Santa Catarina no chance Pat Audinwood, ending it with a guillotine in the first round.

Herriman Fire

Herriman Fire:A fire that first danced across a ridge top plunged downward late Sunday, sweeping into Herriman’s southern neighborhoods.

Responders and residents sprinted away from homes as 50 mph winds fanned flames from a wildfire that began Sunday afternoon at a machine gun firing range at Utah National Guard’s Camp Williams.

“It’s chaos,” said Salt Lake County sheriff’s Lt. Don Hutson as he helped move residents out of their homes.

At least 1,400 homes had been evacuated as of midnight and some had caught fire, said emergency responders who descended on Herriman from across the valley and pushed through crowds of onlookers.

Meanwhile, as many as 250 evacuees waited for updates at a Red Cross center at Herriman High School.

Melissa Kula said she and her husband packed their car while they watched flames rise over the ridge behind their home on Muirwood Circle. When they pulled away at 8 p.m., flames were almost to their backyard.

“I’m devastated, to say the least,” Kula said, tears welling in her eyes. Her family had lived in the home since June. As of Sunday night, she assumed it had burned.

Authorities could not confirm which or how many houses had burned Sunday night. “Upwards of 100,” homes were in jeopardy, said Unified Fire Authority Chief Michael Jensen.

 The blaze started during a National Guard training session when a spark from a soldier’s round ignited dry brush, said Utah National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Hank McIntire.

“They knew immediately and they got on it right away,” but did not have enough manpower and equipment to contain the fire, McIntire said.

From Camp Williams, the fire moved into Arnold’s Hollow of Rose Canyon and jumped over a dirt road that had previously acted as a barrier on Camp Williams’ northern border at Black Ridge, said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Brad Taylor. Bulldozers were digging up fire breaks to the fire’s east to keep it from spreading into the valley, but Taylor said they would not be effective until the winds die down.

“Once you get one ember across, it is a whole new fire taking off,” Taylor said. Winds were expected to subside to 20 mph by morning.

“We are expected to have winds throughout the night fueling this fire and continuing to push it through,” Taylor said.

Early Sunday evening, the fire was estimated to have burned 300 acres, said Jason Curry spokesman for the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. By the end of the night, responders had no way to view the fire’s boundaries.

“The smoke has made that pretty much impossible,” Curry said.

Thirty local fire and medical vehicles were dispatched to the fire, with more than 100 crew members. The Utah National Guard sent 124 troops and three Blackhawk helicopters to dump water on the fire, and the Federal Emergency Management Administration announced it will pay 75 percent of the state’s firefighting costs.

Tangier Island

Tangier Island:A series of rollers ESPN3 Thanks to Tangier Island  and began airing on national television on Monday, introducing viewers to the remote Chesapeake Bay island – which, as the city manager Renee Tyler says one commercial, a “507 residents, one school and no car.”

Eight episodes of the campaign posted on YouTube have been viewed thousands of people, on Monday morning.

Ads will be broadcast on Monday night football on ESPN and also posted on the page, Facebook ESPN, according to spokesman Martin Richmond-based agency that created the campaign.

Campaign accounts Tangier, as “the biggest sports town in America per capita.” Clips show the water sports will be on its work and familiar landmarks island runway including the water tower.

They have the Tangier residents, including Mayor James “Ooker” Eskridge, Tyler and others touted recently arrived on the island of broadband Internet access, including the ability to view live sports on ESPN3.

“Electronics will Tangier, to be in touch anywhere in the world, good or bad,” said John Pruitt, a former journalist, who grew up on the island. Pruitt is the founder of Tangier Pride Inc., a nonprofit organization founded two years ago to support the preservation of the island and its unique way of life.

Pruitt said the ad reminded him of popular juice Ocean Spray ad that features two men standing in a cranberry bog, “but these are real people, not actors.
One episode underlines ESPN3 college football programming and opportunities for resident Harold Pruitt, calling it “the biggest fan of the CIS island. Pruitt concludes with a tomahawk at Florida State University Seminoles’ hack.

“It was really a once in a life-experience to dive into life on Tangier Island, meet and work with such great people,” says creative director of an advertising campaign, Bob Shapiro, Martin Agency.

Shapiro and production crew spent a week in Tangier in late July shooting commercials, each of which use the real inhabitants of the island, rather than professional actors.

Agency contacted the east coast of Virginia Tourism Commission in June about doing a campaign to Tangier after the Virginia office of film combined two, Tourism Director Donna Bozza said at the time.

“We complied with their fingers crossed that they will go on an advertising campaign based on the authenticity of our wonderful Tangier, and so like that done,” she said.

Tourism Commission in the next two weeks or so will publish on its website, www.esvatourism.org, behind the scenes video about the creation of commercials, Bozza said. This footage will also be sent to the media as a way to promote the east coast of Virginia and Tangier.

UKFootball Schedule 2010

When I went and picked up my football season tickets from the Joe Craft UK Historical Museum, I could hear the stadium swelling of crowd noise, I could see the near-unidentifiable players running around as I sat in row Nosebleed, I could taste the (non)alcoholic beverages of the tailgate.

And I looked through the home game schedule, I could feel my excitement level stay exactly the same as when I was learning about hybrid molecular orbitals about 13 minutes prior.

Starting with Western Kentucky, the Rivalry that Isn’t, and Akron (which happens on my friend’s birthday, and he couldn’t ask for a bigger celebration than watching a blowout in Commonwealth with 70,000 other people who are NOT turning 19 that day), and a relatively bland SEC slate (although it could turn out well…more on that in about three paragraphs), then Charleston Southern, and finally Vanderbilt to cap off the first perfect season in UK history (nah, probably not.)

Of course, all will be forgiven if new Vandy head coach Robbie Caldwell performs his old job at midfield before the game. Hint: he got cows artificially preggers. The man makes babies.

Now, the home schedule isn’t UK’s fault. The cupcake non-conference schedule has been in place my entire lifetime,* and the SEC schedule rotation just happened to fall kind of weird this year. UK plays Auburn, Georgia and the Gamecocks at home this year. Not exactly the juiciest opponents to get amped for — although UK football’s newest video might be the cure, if you enjoy oddly put-together videos of players repeating phrases and performing synchronized chest beats — especially compared to some schedules from recent years.

Still, those three games could end up being fantastic games to attend. All three are expected to be close games, as the three teams seem to be in down years. And in the SEC, that three-game stretch could well be the “swing games” of the year — the ones that end up determining just what bowl UK plays in and how successful the season is. While we won’t see any bible verse eyeblack-wearing quarterback go down, HARD, or see any future Heisman winner (at least I don’t think those teams have any Heisman guys), the impact those games will have on the SEC standings will make for a good attendance experience.

But here’s the great part about it. The home schedule may suck, I may not be expecting to witness a once-in-a-lifetime event (such as the destruction of Tim Tebow), ESPN Gameday may not be coming to any of those games.

And yet here I am, preparing to sit through a potential rainstorm to watch UK play a team that has lost 21 straight games, ready for some “First down, Kentuckyyyy,” ready for some Randall Cobb.

Penn State

What We Know So Far:

1. Competitive portion of game is over. I know, I know. Anything can happen with another half to play. But it's hard to imagine Penn State mustering enough offense and stopping Alabama to rally. All that could be left is wondering whether Alabama pitches a shutout. The last time Joe Paterno was shut out: Oct. 6, 2001, in a 20-0 loss to Michigan at Happy Valley.

2. McElroy looks sharp. Greg McElroy's 1st half stats: 9 of 15, 172 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT. Just another day at the office for a quarterback whose confidence continues to grow.

3. Classy move by Tide fans. After Joe Paterno did an on-field interview following the first half, Alabama fans gave him a long ovation. Paterno raised his fist in the air to acknowledge the crowd. Alabama fans listen well to their championship coach: Nick Saban said no booing Penn State, and the fans have heeded that call.

Terrelle Pryor

    The Ohio State game next weekend will be a crucial opportunity for either Harris or Pryor to look extremely foolish on national television and take himself out of the running. We are hoping for Pryor, since if Harris gets invited to New York there's a better-than-even chance Michael Irvin shows up to hijack the event.

That's not exactly how things worked out. Neither star accounted for the bulk of his team's scoring output. That doesn't mean there wasn't a clear winner in the quarterbacking duel, however.

Everyone's favorite afro butterfly sartorialist was all over the place in the 'Shoe, throwing an interception on Miami's very first possession, and three more before the game was through. Harris finished 22-of 39 for 232 yards, one touchdown pass, and a 94.3 rating.

Pryor, however -- hoo, boy. Not particularly accurate was he (12/28), but what he did hit, he made count (233 yards). The gentleman in red has a definite leg up on the meaningless trophy race, while Harris' dark horse campaign for hardware takes a scrambling drop back.

Jacory Harris

After Jacory Harris' performance against Ohio State, it has become apparent that he is having trouble living up to all of the hype that surrounds him.

This game was by no means a blowout, but Harris threw four interceptions against the Buckeyes.

Harris has been high on many Heisman Trophy lists, but his ranking will surely drop after he failed to pull it out against Ohio State.

With several upsets already studding this college football season, Jacory Harris is not the only overrated player.

Harry Nilsson

One of the most idiosyncratic artists of the late ’60s/early ’70s, Harry Nilsson made one of the most compelling albums of the era in 1974 with none other than John Lennon producing and a cast of characters that included Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, Jim Keltner and Lennon guitar fave Jesse Ed Davis.

Back in the day when The Beatles held a press conference to announce the formation of Apple, an interview asked both Lennon and McCartney for their favorite artist. Harry Nilsson, they both said, and a star was born. Suddenly everyone wanted to know who Nilsson was and his career went ballistic when he took Badfinger’s “Without You” to #1 around the world. Maybe it was all too much, too soon, but by 1974 Nilsson was drinking heavily and flitting between bouts of self-doubt and depression.

Enter good buddy and drinking partner John Lennon, in the midst of his own marital strife and ready to binge drink his way through the so-called “Lost Weekend” in L.A. with Nilsson and assorted cronies.

The idea behind the socializing of course was to produce an album, Pussy Cats, for Nilsson. That it happened at all is quite a miracle; that it’s a sterling work, filled with musical variety and not a little inspired genius, is astonishing.

McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Bobby Keys dropped in during a session and an excited Nilsson screamed into the microphone and damaged his voice. He should have rested but Nilsson feared letting the opportunity of working with Lennon on an album slip away and instead persevered. The voice would never again be the awesome tool he used so effortlessly on “Without You” but his take on “Many Rivers to Cross” shows that technical chops are not the whole picture in rock and roll, at least. Nilsson brings an unworldly power to his creaky vocals, conjuring something vaguely mystical from the song and despite that physical limitation easily matches the better-known versions by Joe Cocker and Jimmy Cliff.

Nilsson’s rowdy version of Dylan’s “Subterranean Homesick Blues” is a rollicking update of the ’60s classic with producer Lennon and band clearly enjoying every minute of Dylan’s wordy rock and roll. “Loop de Loop” is a drinking song, and between takes these guys were clearly drinking so, moving quickly along…

“Don’t Forget Me” is marvelous, with Lennon’s master melody touch and overall pop influence clear as he allows Nilsson’s unique delivery and oddball phrasing to make this a delightful vignette.

“Black Sails in the Moonlight” is Nilsson’s best vocal performance and the nearest thing to a hit single on the record. And then there’s “Rock Around the Clock,” probably a Lennon choice since Bill Haley was such a huge influence on The Beatles, and Nilsson and the band take off, fly around Hollywood and land somewhere on Sunset Strip, ready to get down to the Troubadour for another Brandy Alexander.

And that’s the point of this album. It’s not contrived, it’s certainly not consistent and Nilsson’s voice is pretty much shot at times. But that’s what makes this such a “good time, get down to the bar” kind of an album. It’s a rowdy but skilled bunch of musicians teamed with a musical enigma (Nilsson) and a pop genius (Lennon). Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure, but a fascinating album on many levels and guaranteed to put a spring in anyone’s step. A glass of wine before going out? Don’t bother, put on Pussy Cats. The night is young!

Pair Of Kings

Every few years Disney Channel encounters a conundrum with their original, scripted series that puts its executives in a tizzy. It doesn't involve ratings or writing nor the overall quality of the programs. Rather, cast members reach adulthood and leave their series, which throws the executives for a loop.

This year the network higher-ups are being hit with a double-punch. The first swing was from 'Hannah Montana Forever' star Miley Cyrus. Despite being one of the top 2 shows amongst kids and tweens, Cyrus decided to end her run on the program this season and move as far away as possible from the hand that fed her over the last few years.

The follow-up hook came from Selena Gomez, who told folks earlier this summer the next season of 'Wizards of Waverly Place' would be her last.

Those are just the known commodities! With Demi Lovato of 'Sonny With a Chance' and the Jonas Brothers of the aptly titled 'Jonas' hitting their strides as actors and performers, their futures as Disney Channel mainstays could be shorter than network executives think. Throw in the fact that Cole and Dylan Sprouse of 'The Suite Life on Deck' may eventually tire of their own show and the network is going to be left with several large holes to fill.

The big question is: Does Disney Channel have anything waiting in the wings that will be the next 'Hannah Montana' or 'Wizards of Waverly Place?' Well, there are two possible replacements in the bullpen as well as some potential actors from It's A Laugh Productions, which produces all of Disney Channel's current live-action comedies, that may be ripe for their own series.

One of the shows is 'Pair of Kings,' which premieres tonight. It stars former 'Hannah Montana' star Mitchell Musso and Doc Shaw from 'The Suite Life on Deck' as fraternal twin brothers who discover they're kings of a tropical island nation. Unfortunately, the male-oriented DisneyXD will be home to the show. While it will cross over to the Disney Channel and draw some fans who enjoyed both actors on their previous offerings, 'Pair of Kings' may not be the breakout hit the network needs.

But the channel's other new offering, 'Shake It Up!,' just might be their salvation. Starring Bella Thorne from 'Big Love,' the show is a comedy-dance hybrid that focuses on two teens who become backup dancers on Chicago's hottest dance program. While a specific fall premiere date has not been set, 'Shake It Up!' seems a good fit on Sunday nights as a companion to freshman comedy 'Good Luck Charlie,' which, along with 'Hannah Montana,' is the other most popular show among kids and teens.

Only two shows to fill four or five potential slots and one of those slated for full-time status on DisneyXD? Not promising news for a network that has been No. 1 in all dayparts for the last few years. So, who could the production company pull from their talent pool to keep the momentum going?

Two female actors immediately come to mind: Emily Osment of 'Hannah Montana' and Jennifer Stone of 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' Both talented comedians, the two actresses have already headlined made-for-TV Disney movies -- Osment in 'Dadnapped' and Stone in 'Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars.' Separately, they could carry their own series, with Osment having an advantage thanks for her burgeoning singing career. If paired up, the two could do some good things for the network.

For the opposite sex, nominations for new shows would go out to David Henrie of 'Wizard' and Moises Aries of 'Hannah Montana.' Both have the charm and that innocent sweetness about them to draw in the female audience members from their current shows into new ventures. Another 'Hannah Montana' veteran, Jason Earles, would have been considered, but he's already destined for a new DisneyXD series, 'Kickin It,' scheduled to premiere in 2011.

Really, it's going to come down to which direction Disney Channel wants to go. Do they want to stay the course and choose programs that feature stars who do more than just act? Or do they want to go the route of 'Good Luck Charlie' and return to standard family sitcom fare? Their decision will determine what and who becomes the next big thing.

Patriot Day

The Southern Illinois Roller Girls will be celebrating Patriot Day with a big event:  A roller derby bout against their sister leagues from Paducah and Cape Girardeau.

The event, which starts at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, will be a double header and promises plenty of action for the $10 admission price. (Children 12 and under get in for free and servicemen and women get a $2 discount at the door!)

As always, there will be a philantrhopic mission for this event.  The roller girls will be raising money to help the Bush, IL volunteer firefighters purchase lifesaving equipment.  Additionally at this event there will be a donation made to Hospice of Southern Illinois in the amount of $1000, which is from the previous bout.

Cal Coburn Brown

WALLA WALLA, WA (N3) - Cal Coburn Brown was executed early Friday morning in Walla Walla. It was Washington state's first execution since 1991. The family of Brown's victim was visibly relieved after witnessing the execution at 12:56 a.m. KPLU's Anna King reports.

Cal Coburn Brown didn't directly apologize to his victim's family before his execution. But Holly Washa's loved ones said in a press conference afterward it's enough that Brown is gone. The victim's father John Washa said he misses his daughter's freckles and her blue eyes. Washa said he doesn't hate Brown, the father said that he's done with him after nearly two decades of litigation and sorrow.

John Washa: "He's a very bad person, he did a bad thing to her which he didn't need to do. And with this tonight it brought more closure instead of more hatred. I just feel better now, I'm just more at peace."

Brown was convicted of raping, torturing and killing 21-year-old Holly Washa in 1991. Brown gave about a two minute statement before he was executed, saying the justice system had treated him unfairly.

Kraft Shooting

Two people were gunned down after a disgruntled female employee at a Kraft factory in Philadelphia opened fire Thursday night just minutes after being suspended from her job, police said.

A third person was wounded before the shooter was taken into custody, cops added.

"I heard the gunfire, and I ran," Andy Ryan, a dough mixer at the cookie and cracker plant, told The Associated Press. "As I was running down the steps they were yelling, 'Oh, my God, there's three people shot!'"

Roughly 100 people were in the building when the woman, identified as Yvonne Hiller by the Philadelphia Inquirer, drove through a security barrier and re-entered the factory with a .357 magnum 10 minutes after she was escorted out of the building, police said.

The police did not say why Hiller, who had worked at Kraft for 15 years, was suspended from work.

"I don't know what her motive is and I don't want to guess," Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said.

After the shootings, a short standoff with a SWAT team ensued, with seven employees trapped in a second-floor room, the Inquirer reported.

Police said the seven were in "a bad position," but left the scene unharmed.

The names of the two people killed were not released.

Kraft said the factory would be closed as the police conduct their investigation.

In a statement, the company said, "This is a sad day for the Kraft Foods family."

San Francisco Explosion

The death toll from an explosion and huge fire in San Bruno, Calif., has risen to 6, the Los Angeles Times reports, quoting the fire chief.

    A firefighter battles a massive fire in a residential neighborhood in San Bruno Calif., Friday that was triggered by a gas line explosion.
The Times quotes San Bruno Fire Captain Charlie Barringer as saying the death toll is expected to increase as firefighters inspect the numerous homes destroyed in the gas line explosion and blaze.

The blast in the town near San Francisco airport also knocked out water pipelines serving fire hydrants, hampering firefighters initial efforts to tackle the inferno, the Times says.

Update at 8:23 a.m. ET: The San Francisco Chronicle says at least 20 people have been injured and reports that the fire destroyed 53 homes and damaged 120 more. The newspaper says the fire raged "unabated" for almot an hour as emergency crews rushed in an residents streamed out.

Earlier posting: Fire Capt. Charlie Barringer said the neighborhood was engulfed by the time firefighters arrived, even though the fire station was only a few blocks away, USA TODAY's William M. Welch reports. He said the blast took out the entire water system, forcing firefighters to pump water from more than 2 miles away.

San Bruno Fire Chief Dennis Haag told KPIX-TV that he believes a high-pressure gas line blew just after 6 p.m., triggering an explosion and fire.

The utility company Pacific Gas and Electric Co. that serves the San Francisco Bay area said one of its gas lines ruptured in the vicinity of the blast, which left a giant crater and sent flames tearing across several
suburban blocks in San Bruno.

"If it is ultimately determined that we were responsible for the cause of the incident, we will take accountability," PG&E said in an e-mailed
statement.

Marvin Sapp Wife Dies

Marvin Sapp has lost his wife and best friend, MaLinda Sapp to colon cancer. Supporters from all around the world have expressed their condolenses to Marvin Sapp and his family via their offical facebook page.  Marvin Sapp was the pastor at Lighthouse Full Life Center Church where his wife was co-Pastor alongside him.  Story continues on the other side.

Dr MaLinda Sapp was a professional counselor, served as a manager for Marvin Sapp and had Executive Producer credits on many of his audio and video recordings.

The church and The official Marvin Sapp Facebook page had posted a message on its website asking for prayers for MaLinda Sapp.

Marvin and MaLinda were happily married for 15 years and have three children.

Marvin Sapp is one of gospel music's most popular stars. His 2008 song "Never Would Have Made It" set records for its duration on the charts, and he recently had a No. 1 hit on Billboard's gospel charts with the song "The Best in Me."

Fernando Flores

A former bodyguard for Britney Spears, Fernando Flores, is suing the popstar claiming that she made "repeated unwanted sexual advances towards him by exposing herself to him.

Flores claims that on one occasion, Spears "was wearing a white lace, see-through dress.  She walked over close by [Flores], intentionally dropped her cigarette lighter on the floor, bent over to retrieve it and thereby exposed her uncovered genitals to [Flores]."  The bodyguard says "the incident caused [him] shock and disgust."

He also says she called him into a room, where she was standing naked.  "After an awkward silence... [Flores] asked if Spears needed anything.  After some hesitation, Spears asked [Flores] to get her two bottles of 7 Up."

The suit even alleges that Britney engaged many in sex acts in front of Flores.

Flores' suit will be filed Wednesday afternoon with the L.A. County Superior Court.

I can not imagine that anyone who was in a fairy tale Hellcats’ from hotsy law student who turns to cheer leading pay the bills and dug a rough couple of private eyes who are anti-heroes terriers.
It is tempting to simply Terriers praise and dump on the Hellcats. Eventually, the Terriers have a refrigerator,

There is something to like about the Terriers, starting with the stars. Donal Logue is one of those TV familiar faces, which some of us are always welcome (although not enough for us to ever hit him show), while Michael Raymond James made an impact during his stay at True Blood.

Hellcats, on a completely different way, a genre show, and the poor, scrappy triumph over the child snobs history, High School Musical / Glee division.
There is no sense in thinking that something about the essence of the above Terrier Hellcats because Hellcats seemed to exist primarily to show a lot of attractive young people danced vigorously. the most famous stars Hellcats’ is Ali Michalka, the talented high school graduate Disney television and music.
As a result, there was no dramatic arc to the fact that Marty had to endure in the premiere episode this week. It was impossible to buy it, how to grind the law school, not to mention the “Gothic” that she called her co-star, Ashley Tisdale in Savannah.
