Van Der Sloot Confession

Joren van der Sloot made a confession in the murder of Stephany Flores in South America on June 7, 2010. Van der Sloot tearfully confessed to the murder of Peru woman Stephany Flores Ramiez, according to Peruvian authorities, according to CNN on June 8, 2010. Van der Sloot has been a longtime suspect I the disappearance of U.S. Teenager Natalie Holloway, but hehas been free to globe trot for lack of evidence in the Holloway care.

Van der Sloot reportedly killed Stephany Flores Ramiez because she accessed his laptop and found information about him and the Natalee Holloway case. The information proved deadly for the 21 year old woman, who was in his hotel room at the time.

The suspect confessed after an intense 10 hour interogation by police in Peru. Van der Sloot reportedly said, 'I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life.'


Peruvian authorities said that Joren van der Sloot and Stephany Flores went to his hotel room after meeting at a casino in Lima, Peru. Van der Sloot to get some coffee and when he returned he found Flores reading his laptop computer. He became enraged and choked her.

The suspect is slated to take Peruvian authorities on a re-enactment of the crime at the Hotel Tac, where the crime occurred. Hotel videos showed van der Sloot and Flores entering his room at 5:33 a.m. On May 30. Joren emerged alone three hours later and left the hotel.

Joren van der Sloot fled to Chile, where he was captured and returned to Peru to face charges. He could be sentenced to up to 35 years for the murder of Stephany Flores.

The disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba in still being investigated. Joren van der Sloot was arrested and released twice in the Holloway case. Natalee Holloway disappeared on May 30, 2010, almost exactly five years before the murder of Stephany Flores. Holloway is presumed dead, but her body has never been found.
