Healthy Trim

Healthy Trim is a weight loss supplement that has been advertised as an “all-natural” product, according to DietSpotlight.com. Claiming to contain green tea (which has caffeine, a mild appetite suppressant), and other natural ingredients like lotus leaf, plantain, cumquat and mulberry leaf, Healthy Trim also contains a handful of ingredients that one cannot easily pronounce. Gymnema sylvestre, eleutherococcus senticosus, pyruvate, caralluma fimbriata, chromium picolinate and hoodia gordonii are all found in this pill.

The review at DietSpotlight.com suggests that sticking to the Healthy Trim plan, along with its suggest diet, might not be healthy. The dosage is two pills per day, along with NO breakfast and two light meals for lunch and dinner.

Obviously, eating so few calories would cause weight loss (potentially dangerous weight loss) no matter what kind of “supplement” you’re taking. But it seems that the trace amount of caffeine found in the green tea in Healthy Trim is the only known weight loss aid in the pill. And one can simply drink a glass of green tea to achieve the same affect. Not to mention, skipping breakfast is terrible for your body. And any weight you lose with this product, you’re sure to gain back almost instantly when you stop dieting.

The dangerously low-calorie diet aside, a 30-day supply of Healthy Trim is $54.95, a ridiculous waste of money. A box of green tea at your local supermarket will cost less than $5.00.

The bottom line is that diet pills, supplements and magical weight loss promises never work. Even Alli, the often celebrated weight loss pill that hit the market several years ago has recently been found to cause liver problems.

DIET, EXERCISE AND PORTION CONTROL ARE THE ONLY WAYS TO ACHIEVE HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS. I want to shout it from the rooftops.

If you’re looking for an effective plan or program, beyond just making healthier choices and eating smaller portions, a new book researched and endorsed by the editors at Prevention Magazine caught my eye recently. Check out the 400 Calorie Fix, a healthy low-calorie approach to dieting that allows you to eat foods you enjoy without starving yourself.

Weight loss is just like money. There are no get rich quick schemes that actually work. You have to save and plan and work hard. And if you’re lucky, your hard work will pay off and you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor for many years. But if you skip the hard work part, you might never get there.

Spend the time NOW to learn what it means to eat smaller portions and be active. That is the road to lasting weight loss.

Good luck!
