UVA Lacrosse Death

Police have arrested 22-year-old lacrosse player George Huguely and charged him with his girfriend murder. Yeardley Love, a 22-year-old senior at the University of Virginia was found dead in an off-campus apartment.

Local Police  have not disclosed a possible cause of death in the case.  Police Chief Tim Longo says that emergency responders initially believed they would be dealing with an alcohol overdose, upon arrival they realized the situation was more serious.

The crime has stunned the University of Virginia community, which for the past week had been celebrating the men’s lacrosse team’s ACC Championship victory.
