Sheri Lynn Davis is in a world of trouble and is now out of a job. Davis is the teacher, fired for beating student Isaiah Johnson in front of other students. The beating was caught on a cell phone camera and the video has made its way online. You can see the video below. Not only is Davis in trouble for the beating, and not only did she get fired, but it also turns out that she had a warrant out for her arrest. The beating occurred at Jamie’s House Charter School in Houston, Texas.
You can read more about Sheri Lynn Davis, see the video of the teacher fired for beating a student, and leave your comments about this insane story, below.
Now that the school has reacted and fired Davis from her job at Jaime’s House Charter School, the school is being sued by Isaiah Johnson’s mother for the beating which occurred at the hands of the 13-year-old’s teacher.
It appears that the school did not run a background check on Davis before allowing her to work at the school, because an arrest warrant was issued for her failure to take care of a criminal mischief charge for allegedly slashing another woman’s tires with a knife. She posted $1,000 bond for that charge the day after the video appeared online.
Watch the video here and decide what you think for yourself.
Sheri Lynn Davis could also face criminal charges for assaulting the student. I would imagine the chances of criminal charges are very high. It’s not every day you read “Teacher Fired For Beating Student” in the news. Davis deserves never to be around students ever again. This type of behavior is absolutely uncalled for and hopefully she will have earned a stay in jail for her actions. So, what do you think? She sure won’t be winning any teacher of the year awards. Those are my thoughts anyway.
