Pungo Strawberry Festival

Pungo, Virginia is a rural community located in the southern portion of the independent city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA.

Like most of Southern Virginia Beach, the area of Pungo is surrounded by farmland. The community is known for its Pungo Strawberry Festival, which is held every Spring.

The 27th annual Pungo Strawberry Festival is held on May 29th and 30th, 2010, at 9 am to 7 pm on each day. Admission is free.

Pungo is located about 15 miles southeast of Norfolk International Airport, and about ten miles south of the heart of Virginia Beach.
