Nick Swardson

Though we're still waiting for another lead role to be cast alongside Aziz Ansari for Ruben Fleischer's action comedy 30 Minutes or Less, the supporting cast is continuing to fill out as THR  reports Michael Pena (Crash, Observe and Report) and Nick Swardson (Blades of Glory, "Reno 911!") have joined the cast. The two join Danny McBride in a couple of small but key roles. While McBride is a thug looking to score some money, Swardson will play his best friend with Pena plays a tattoo riddled assassin in the story of a history teacher (Ansari) and a pizza-delivery man who're forced to rob a bank when one is strapped to a bomb vest.

Funnily enough, Pena, McBride and Ansari all had parts in Jody Hill's dark comedy Observe and Report. So far the cast is shaping up to be a great assembly of talent for what will hopefully be a badass follow-up for Fleischer who made a huge splash with last year's surprise hit Zombieland. There's obviously some potential greatness stirring in this comedy since this was the project Fleischer landed after having plenty of projects tossed his way because of Zombieland. Hopefully the director doesn't need zombies, Woody Harrelson and a Bill Murray cameo to make a solid movie. Stay tuned as there's surely more casting for this comedy on deck.
