The Historic Coney Island has returned. The new Luna Park opened May 29, 2010. Its entrance looks very much like the entrance to the original 1903 Luna Park and will be built on the ground of the former Astroland amusement park which closed after the 2008 season. The site, just over 3 acres, boasts 19 state-of-the-art rides, including a new thriller called Air Race. There is no entrance fee at the park, you pay per ride – anywhere between $3-$7.
