Former First Lady Laura Bush will be in Nashville today to thank American Red Cross volunteers and to sign copies of her new memoir at a Green Hills bookstore.
Bush will visit the Red Cross Tennessee flood headquarters this afternoon to thank volunteers for their flood recovery efforts. Karyn Frist, wife of former Sen. Bill Frist, will accompany her.
Bush will then be at Davis-Kidd Booksellers in Green Hills Mall at 7 p.m. to sign copies of her memoir, Spoken from the Heart, for those who pick up a copy at the store. Members of the bookstore's "Give Back" program will get the first chance to meet her.
Others can pick up one ticket per person by purchasing the book at Davis-Kidd. Children younger than 10 can accompany one parent in line.
Bush will sign up to two copies of the book per person, and she will not be available for personalized messages or photos. Nor will she sign memorabilia.
Davis-Kidd is at 2121 Green Hills Village Drive.
