The performances on American Idol’s finale kept coming. Last year’s winner Kris Allen performed his new single "The Truth" which appears on his self-titled debut album.

"The Truth" was written by Train front man Pat Monahan and producer Toby Gad. There are two versions of the song. The version of the album features Kris Allen singing the song by himself, whereas the the single version Kris is accompanied by Pat Monahan.

Lee Dewyze or Crystal Bowersox will be crowned the winner of tonight’s show. One unique thing about Dewyze and Bowersox being the finalist is they were both from the Chicago auditions. The Fox cameras even got footage of them sitting two from each other in the waiting line.

Lee Dewyze is an American singer and guitarist. He is from Mount Prospect, Illinois. Before he auditioned for American Idol Lee was a paint salesman. Prior to being on American Idol, Lee released two albums. On the show he has been one of the favorites to win the entire series. On Tuesday Lee sang "The Boxer" from Simon & Garfunkel, "Everybody Hurts" from R.E.M, and if Lee were to win the season his single would be "Beautiful Day" by U2.

Crystal Bowersox is an American singer-songwriter from Elliston, Ohio. She auditioned for American Idol in Chicago and sang "Piece of My Heart" Guest judge Shania Twain said that she had "raw natural talent". Crystal has constantly been told she is the one that the other contestants have to beat in order to win the show. Which may end up being true! On Tuesday Lee sang "Me and Bobby McGee" from Roger Miller, Black Velvet by Alannah Myles, and if Crystal were to win the season her single would be "Up to the Mountain (MLK Song)" by Patty Griffin.

Also on Wednesday night’s show was a celebration of Simon Cowell’s last night as judge on Idol.
