Today's saddest headline: Survivor's Jennifer Lyon dies at age 37.Jennifer Lyon, who was a contestant on Survivor Palau, fought a brave battle against breast cancer after she was diagnosed in 2005 at the age of 33. The former nanny, known as Jenn, had a double mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy after learning that she had already reached stage three of the disease.
Jennifer, who raised awareness about the breast cancer at charity events, leaves behind devastated family and friends. Former Survivor contestant Austin Carty, who once dated Jenn, told US Magazine on Wednesday, "She always had a smile. She cared about every person."
When someone who competed on reality television dies, we tend to feel as if we've gotten to know them too, so Jenn will also be missed by the fans she gained while competing on Survivor.
