Cumberland Gap

The two rivals met on the field at Cumberland Gap High School for the first game of a two game series. In the early innings the Panthers manufactured two runs but in the fifth the Bulldogs rallied and tied the game. At the top of the final inning the Bulldogs had a runner at second but couldn't get the key hit to advance him. The Panthers got a runner on in the bottom half and was able to get him across the plate for the winning run following an errant throw to first. The final score of game one was 3-2.

April 13th- The Bulldogs hosted game two but the Panthers got on the board first moving out to a 4-0 advantage in the top of the third. The Panthers added another run in the top of the fourth. The Bulldogs rallied and got a run in the bottom of the fifth making the score 5-1. The Panthers added one in the top of the sixth and put the pressure on the Bulldogs. The Panthers played together as a team and took the 6-1 victory and the series sweep back to Cumberland Gap
